Join us at 12noon Eastern time on Thursday September 28th to discuss this topic, based on the following questions:

  1. To what extent is message length important to the experience of Twitter?
  2. What do you think of any 280 character messages tat you've seen so far?
  3. What advantages do you see in longer (280 character) messages?
  4. What disadvantages do you see in longer (280 character) messages? Will other uses be affected?
  5. Overall, what benefits (or costs) do you see in longer (280 character) messages?
  6. Are longer, or even shorter, messages the future for Twitter?
  7. How long is too long for Twitter messages? We have 10,000 char Direct Messages. Is that too long?
  8. If longer messages become popular, will Twitter gain or lose its usefulness and distinction?
  9. How long will Twitter be able to continue with its 140, 280, or any other character length restriction?
  10. What is the future for message length, format, style, etc. on social media channels in general?
